There’s another person in my family who has a great eye for design, it’s my brother Michael. My brother is a scientist, he does research on glaucoma and I believe one day he will be the one finding a cure. But he has many other talents and graphic design is one of them. So when I wanted a fabulous new logo, I naturally turned to him. He nicely said: sure, I’ll design your logo! So there he started…
To design the logo he used Nodebox. “NodeBox is a Mac OS X application that lets you create 2D visuals (static, animated or interactive) using Python programming code”…still reading? Well it’s some very complicated mathematical formula that uses Bézier curves to accomplish amazing designs.
I wanted a logo that represented me and my brand: luxurious, French, perhaps a design that can also symbolise Chantilly lace, something timeless and modern at the same time. My brother designed in total 45 logos before we reached (on a Saturday night around 4am!) what we think is the perfect one for my brand. You can see below how he started with the lace idea up to the final result.
If you have any questions about glaucoma resarch or design, please feel free to contact my brother Michael Girard
