I have recently watched a few old movies: Rear Window and Dial M for Murder by Alfred Hitchcock and the Graduate. I love seeing beautiful silk nightwear on screen. Grace Kelly is wearing two elegant long silk slips, both cut on the bias, they almost look like evening dresses. It’s very hard to make such long nightdresses nowadays, the cost would be so high as they are made with a lot of silk. Ann Brancroft in the Graduate is wearing a lovely silk half-slip. Not so long ago, women used to wear slips everyday under their dresses and skirts, I know some who still do. Nothing beats the feeling of soft silk on the skin!

I had the most amazing experience yesterday. I received a call from Sky News wanting to interview me to speak about the UK Lingerie Market and problems currently faced by some of its players. I chose my best Italian suit (and my best Bra!) and off I went to their broadcasting studios at Millbank, just near the House of Commons.

I was so excited but so tensed at the same time! We discussed Marks and Spencer’s latest news (M&S lingerie director resigned yesterday just after three months) and the current state of the UK Lingerie market.
